Over the years we have moved quite a bit. In the effort to make each new house a home, I developed a love for home decor. Most recently we moved from a 120 year old colonial in the northeast to a beach house in Florida. With the move we decided to transition our decor to a modern coastal look. Opting for a very neutral palette, warm wood tones and a sleek, simple vibe. It’s still a work in progress. Stay tuned for more updates!
Tip to keep your orchids alive… Put 3-4 ice cubes on top of the soil every few days and do not move the orchid often. They like to stay in the same spot. My mercury ginger jar is from Pier One and the shell is from Kirklands. The faux succulent is from West Elm.
Lighting is one of the most important decor aspects of your home
A new chandelier can change the whole room! Loving my new Amelia Wood Bead Chandelier from Pottery Barn. When we purchased the home the fixture here was very dark and I didn’t feel like it lended itself well to the modern beach vibe that I was going for.

One of my favorite things about our kitchen is this over sized island. It is full of storage options and is the focal point of the room.
